Palm Beach County has long been recognized as one of the premier areas of the country in which to live, and its easy to see why. It offers approximately 47 miles of sandy white beaches, a semi tropical climate with an average annual temperature of 78 Degrees, year round sunny skies, cooling ocean breezes and twelve months of outdoor activities. There are more than 200 hotels, and resort properties, including 5 star resorts such as The Ritz Carlton, The Breakers Hotel. And The Boca Raton Hotel and Resort. Palm Beach County is conveniently located to Disney World in Orlando, Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, the wondrous Florida Keys and unspoiled Everglades National Park. Among the leading areas in Palm Beach County are Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Wellington, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Jupiter. Palm Beach County was recently selected by the prestigious Scripps Research Institute of La Jolla, California as the new home for its research foundation, an event Governor Jeb Bush called the most significant economic event in Florida in the last 30 years. Cited as a compelling reason for their selection, was the appeal of the Palm Beach County lifestyle and its similarities to San Diego, their present location.

Boca Raton History
Boca Raton is located at the southerly end of Palm Beach County, Delray Beach is its neighbor to the north. Originally a tiny agricultural community, Boca Raton was largely farmed by Japanese settlers. Addison Mizner, the noted Architect, founded Boca Raton in 1925. He conceived of a dream city on 17,000 acres. Lured by a world-class resort, Boca Raton would be a playground for the wealthy. He established the 5 star Boca Raton Hotel and Resort to serve as the magnet. Strict zoning standards set in place years ago have allowed Boca Raton to preserve its heritage and beauty despite fantastic growth since it’s inception. Boca Raton has 7 miles of pristine beach and is still highly regarded as a superior area to work and live and play. Boca Raton has a population today of 70,000 residents and also serves as a vacation home for tens of thousands more. There are many upscale country club communities, such as Woodfield, Polo Club, Addison Reserve, St. Andrews, and Mizner Country Club. Also, many fine and distinctive neighborhoods close to the ocean, and intercostals, as well as newer communities further west.
